Day 1 : March 14, 2012 Wednesday - Ben Gurion Airport/Jerusalem Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Meeting and assistance by a Diesenhaus Unitours representative.  Transfer to hotel.  Overnight Jerusalem 

Day 2: March 15, 2012 Thursday  - Jerusalem-old city – New City - Pasta Dinner Begin the day’s tour on the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking view of the entire city.  Visit the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane.  Enter by foot in the Walled City.  In the Jewish Quarter see the Cardo and Western Wall.  Enjoy the panoramic view of the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount.  In   the   Christian Quarter walk along the Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the cross, visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.We continue to the Israel Museum with its Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are kept, then see the Menorah in front of the Knesset - the Israeli Parliament.In the evening enjoy the Pasta Dinner at the Expo. Day 3: March 16, 2012 – Friday  -  Marathon day Overnight Jerusalem

Day 4: March 17, 2012 – Saturday  -  Bethlehem / Massada / Dead Sea After breakfast will drive to Manger Square in Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity. Continue through the Judean Wilderness to the lowest point on earth -- the Dead Sea.  drive to the base of Massada, the last stronghold of the Jewish zealots against the Romans. Ascend by cable car and tour the famed archaeological site including Herod’s palace, an ancient synagogue and a bathhouse.   Arrive to hotel and have a free afternoon to enjoy the spa facilities of the hotel.  Overnight Dead Sea 

Day 5: March 18, 2012 – Sunday   -  Ein Gedi / Qumran  / Tel Aviv  After Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to the Natural reserve of Ein Gedi, where David hid from Saul, and see the beautiful waterfalls. Drive to Qumran where we visit the caves where the Essene community wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive to Tel Aviv the city that never sleeps   Overnight Tel Aviv  

Day 6: March 19, 2012 – Monday  -  Day at Leisure Enjoy a free day to stroll along the lively streets of Tel Aviv and visit the beautiful beaches.             Overnight Tel Aviv 

Day 7: March 20, 2012 – Tuesday  - Caesarea / Druze Villages / Haifa / Tiberias After breakfast drive along the costal road to to Caesarea Maritima  to visit the Roman Theater, Herod’s Palace, the Theater, the Crusaders’ City and Harbor.Drive along the Druze villages. We will drive to Haifa one of the largest cities in Israel View the beautiful gardens of the Bahai in Haifa.  Overnight Tiberias 

Day 8: March 21, 2012 – Wednesday - Bet Shean/Mount Beatitudes/Capernaum/ Boat rideAfter breakfast we will drive to Beth Shean the largest Roman excavated ruins outside of Rome; walking its streets will amaze you.   We will then see the ruins of an ancient synagogue with a fascinating mural in the floor. Drive to Mount Beatitudes, site of the “ Sermon on the Mount”. Continue to Capernaum, center of Jesus’ Ministry. Located here are the ruins of an ancient synagogue and the site of Peter’s house. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the Loaves and Fish and see the mosaic from the 5th century Byzantine basilicawe will have a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus walked on water. Overnight Tiberias  

Day 9: March 22, 2012  - Thursday -  Tzfat / Winery / Mt Bental / BaniasAfter breakfast Drive to Safed, center of the   Kaballa movement; visit the Joseph Caro and the Ha’Ari synagogues, the most important synagogues in the city; stroll around the Artist’s quarter. Continue to the Golan Heights; at Mt Bental – we will have an observation point over the city of Kuneitra and the Syrian territory. Visit the Banias springs, in the afternoon we will enjoy a visit at a winery in the city of Katzrin.Overnight Tiberias  

Day 10: March 23, 2012 – Friday -  Nazareth / Meggido / DepartureAfter breakfast enjoy a free morning,  drive to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his boyhood and visit the House of Joseph and the Church of the Annunciation.  We continue to Megiddo, also named the Armageddon- the place where the last battle of mankind is due to take place. Visit its museum and this 5.000 year old city with the gates from King Solomon’ s period, the old Canaanite temples and the water tunnel from the time of King Ahab. 

Drive to the airport for return departure to Toronto.
